MAY 13 – 17, 2015
CENTER 548 // CHELSEA (formerly the Dia Building, between 10th and 11th avenue on 22nd Street)
Since 2011, SELECT has been delivering critically acclaimed art fairs in Miami and New York City. For each edition we find a curatorial focus and direction to help create a stream of consistency that mirrors the current trends in the art world.
SELECT will be held at the former Dia Building on 22nd Street in Chelsea. Our prime location places SELECT directly in the densely populated gallery district, adjacent to the highline and steps from the Chelsea Piers.
For SELECT NYC, galleries will be challenged to show the work of just one or two artists, or multiple artists works tied together conceptually. We are open to a wide variety of mediums and encourage each gallery to alter the existing white walls to appeal to the sensibilities of the works being shown. Additional emphasis will be placed on galleries to show works that respond to the history of the Dia Building and Foundation (This is the last year the former Dia Building will be in existence).
SELECT is also making this edition cost effective for Non Profits and educational institutions. We are open to certain collectives, as long as they meet our requirements.
